On the morning of Wednesday, 14 October 2026, a theft was discovered at the parish church of Sant'Alessandro in Castione della Presolana, Bergamo. According to the Carabinieri of the Clusone company, the thieves struck during the night between about 2 and 5 a.m., forced a rear door, and stole a liturgical chalice and the two metal crowns that adorned the statue of the Madonna del Rosario. Parish priest don Paolo Biffi reported the theft; the Carabinieri, including the cultural-heritage protection unit (TPC) of Monza, are examining area surveillance footage.
