St. Therese statue found beheaded at St. Anthony of Padua

People found the head of a St. Therese statue on the ground next to it the morning of Aug. 9 at St. Anthony in Fairfield. Staff members originally thought it might have been hit by lightning, but they told News 12 that because of how clean the break is, and the fact that it went through a support pole, they now think somebody sawed it off. Fairfield police began investigating the statue vandalism after the parish reported it later that week.
