Killings at the Holy Family compound

Two women, Nahida Khalil Anton and her daughter Samar, were shot and killed inside the Holy Family parish compound, Gaza’s only Catholic church, where civilians were sheltering.

The Latin Patriarchate said they were hit by an Israeli sniper; the IDF has disputed accounts of incidents at the compound. The parish later suffered further damage as the war continued.
