Gang attack on Kenscoff church shelter kills dozens

The United Nations said at least 47 people were killed and 22 injured when gang members attacked a church sheltering displaced people just outside Port-au-Prince. Secretary-General António Guterres said 22 of the victims were reportedly executed in a church compound where they had sought shelter. Agenzia Fides reported that buildings burned by the gang included a worship center owned by the evangelical Church of the Ark of the New Covenant, near the municipal cemetery in Kenscoff.
