Overnight on 24 September 2026, a blast wave from a Russian missile and drone attack damaged the 1906 Holy Intercession Church (Свято-Покровський храм) in Kyiv’s Podilskyi district, on the Mostytskyi massif in the Vynohradar area. Podilskyi District State Administration head Volodymyr Nakonechnyi said windows, domes, and the historic yellow Kyiv-brick façade were damaged. LB.ua described the church as the oldest on the Mostytskyi massif and in Vynohradar. No deaths or injuries were reported at the church. The same citywide attack killed two people and injured at least eight elsewhere in Kyiv; those casualties are not attributed to this building.

Coordinates are the Nominatim place_of_worship pin for Церква Покрови Пресвятої Богородиці at 2-A Mostytska Street, Mostytskyi massif, Podilskyi district (50.5010620, 30.4459365). OpenStreetMap tags the building start_date 1906 and denomination orthodox; the 24 September reports did not name a patriarchate. Citywide deaths and injuries from the attack are not this church.
