Stabbing at Notre-Dame de Nice

A man entered the basilica at opening hour and stabbed three Catholic faithful, including a woman whose body was found inside and the sacristan. The attacker was shot and arrested.

The attack came weeks after the beheading of teacher Samuel Paty and prompted France to raise its national security alert.
