A suicide car bomb detonated as worshippers left Christmas Mass on the outskirts of Abuja. Boko Haram claimed the attack. At least 37 people were killed.
The bombing was part of a Christmas 2011 wave against Nigerian churches and remains one of the country’s most lethal church attacks.
