On the morning of Sunday, 11 October 2026, the words “Vannacci come Charlie Kirk!” were found written in red paint on the wall of the Chiesa di San Tommaso, at Via Monte di Pietà and Via Micca, a few steps from Piazza Castello in central Turin. The message was read as a death threat against Roberto Vannacci, leader of the Futuro Nazionale party, referring to U.S. activist Charlie Kirk, who was killed in September 2025. The Digos (police political crimes unit) is investigating.
