On 1 October 2026, a burglary was reported at Vining Lutheran Church in Vining, Minnesota, where two offices had been rifled through and broken glass was found. About $7 to $10 in cash was taken. A debit card bearing the name Christopher Yost and a hammer were found inside. Yost, 38, of Fergus Falls, was arrested on 5 October and charged with four felony second-degree burglaries, including the church break-in.
