Blast wave damages Holy Trinity Church in Vylkove

On the night of 26 September 2026, a Russian attack on the Vylkove community in Odesa Oblast’s Izmail district damaged the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s Holy Trinity Church (Свято-Троїцький храм) of the Odesa Eparchy. The eparchy said the blast wave shattered church windows, damaged doors and the church building, and also damaged the Sunday school, the priest’s residence, and sacred objects including icons. No people were hurt. The UOC information department and SPZH reported on 26 September 2026; local outlet Teplodar said the aviation attack occurred on the night of 26 September.
